Travel overseas, discover exciting new cultures and spread your knowledge of the English
language. Educational employers from around the world are looking for enthusiastic language
teachers to encourage and enrich the lives of their students. As a soon-to-be-teacher in CLLC’s
Teacher Training Course, you’ll have the opportunity to explore and develop your skills as an
English educator.
By participating in our one week (40-hour) course you’ll learn how to:
- Prepare a lesson plan.
- Teach the four basic skills; listening, speaking, reading and writing.
- Mark a student’s work and assess their ability.
- Practice preparing different types of material for varying levels of student ability.
- Understand basic teaching theory.
- Go about finding a job.
Additionally, you’ll:
- Understand the pleasure and pain that comes from ESL teaching overseas by having the
opportunity to talk to a group of experienced teachers who have already gone through these
emotions in real life.
- Have the chance to network with other people thinking about doing the same type of career.
As a participant in CLLC’S Teacher Training Course you’ll take away a resource pack which includes:
- A copy of the course text book.
- PDF templates for blank lesson plans, marking schemes, sample lesson plans etc on CD.
- A list of reliable internet resources.
- A list of reliable printed resources
- A graduation certificate and description of the course for prospective employers.

Course Fees: $1150 CAD includes tuition, textbook and materials, and overseas work search seminar
