Business English

Learn Business English In Canada

If you want to learn business English, Canada offers an excellent environment in which to do so. The goal of CLLC’s course is to improve the business English skill of practicing students.
The business English course will use business case studies directly related to the real business world. Each business case will cover a particular aspect of business practice and there will be several outputs from each. Participants will:
• Work in groups to develop solutions to the specific problems posed by each study.
• Learn new business vocabulary, target language and grammar.
• Prepare either group or individual presentations of their conclusions to the problems posed by each case study.
• Write reports, e mails or letters setting out their conclusions from the case studies.

Business English Course Instructor:

David Fielding, Business instructor.

David will be the business English course leader and will be personally involved in the delivery of the case studies. He will be supported by skilled, experienced, professional teachers drawn from the full time teaching staff of CLLC.
David is a CELTA (Certificate of English Language Teaching to Adults) qualified teacher who has recently returned to teaching and academic administration after a long and successful career in business.
His business career included 10 years in a management consultancy role with a UK central government organization and 20 years with a major international bank in Hong Kong. In Hong Kong, he was also the external examiner for a B.Sc. course at Hong Kong Polytechnic.
Prior to starting his business career David was a teacher in Hong Kong and Uganda for several years.
David has an Honors degree from the University of Manchester's Institute of Science and Technology and an MBA from the University of Lancaster, one of the leading business schools in the UK.

  • Placement tests take place one week before the course start date. Students must pass CLLC's High Intermediate Level
  • A minimum number of students are required to start the course

Executive Business English Course for Managers: 

CLLC is offering  Executive business English and professional development programs. These are intensive programs designed for busy working managers.
